This is a map of 4 invasive plants in and near the Tonto National Forest.

  • Fountain grass, Pennisetum setaceum - Red
  • Buffelgrass, Pennisetum ciliare - Yellow
  • Saltcedar, Tamarix ramosissima Blue
  • Giant Reed, Arundo donax Green
  • Globe chamomile, Oncosiphon piluliferum Purple

Notes:  Data in layers with 417 in title was collected April 2017 and earlier using geocoded photos.  Photos are not attached in this map.

Data in layers with no numbers is currently being collected using ArcGIS Collector App and smart devices with gps capability.  Photos are attached, if taken, during collection.  Map is automatically updated with each sync.

Buffer of 50 ft is currently applied only to 417 data.

Fountain Grass Native plants can not compete.
