VOLUNTEER TRAIL MONITORING PROGRAMS

Enjoy the Forest and contribute to keeping it fit at the same time.  Be an observer while you are hiking, horse back riding, or biking; record observations of activities and trail conditions

Friends of the Tonto

There is a need for more volunteers to monitor trail conditions in the Tonto NF.  With the increase in adjacent population and more individuals active in the Forest, there is more impact on the habitat.  At the same time, for various reasons, the Forest Service has reduced resources to manage the increased usage.
