Stinknet Pull In Tonto Basin

Volunteer Agreement

Schoolhouse Point meeting site

U of A Extension Agent Chris Jones and Tonto Basin Ranger District Range/Watershed Specialist Eric Hoskins are sponsoring a stinknet pull at Schoolhouse Point at Roosevelt Lake. from 8 to 10 AM. Meeting place is the Schoolhouse Point parking lot. This is the first right hand turn right after the pay station and then at the end of this paved road. There is a good size parking lot for about a dozen vehicles.
All volunteers who plan on working during the project day will need to sign a volunteer form (attached). If anyone shows up and has not signed the form, they will not be authorized to conduct work on the Forest. In addition, please bring personal protective equipment such as closed-toed shoes, long pants, gloves and eye protection since there is quire a bit of cactus, mesquite and catclaw and uneven terrain in the project area. A hat, allergy medicine or even a face mask when pulling weeds would be good choices.
The Volunteer form is attached. Please sign, scan and email it back to Chris and Eric by Wednesday May 14 so that it can be signed off by the Forest Service before Friday.
